Turning Agricultural Waste into Climate Impact

Turning Agricultural Waste into Climate Impact: Triochar’s New Projects in Turkey

At Triochar, we believe the path to real climate impact starts right where the problem — and the solution — lies: on the ground, with farmers and communities. Our latest projects in Milas and Söke, Turkey bring that belief to life, transforming agricultural by-products into permanent carbon removal while supporting local livelihoods.

From Olive Prunings and Cotton Stalks to Carbon Sinks

In these two locations, what was once seen as agricultural waste — olive prunings and cotton stalks — is now becoming a valuable climate asset. Using Kon-Tiki kilns, we convert this biomass into biochar — a stable form of carbon that can lock away CO₂ for centuries while improving soil health.

Working Hand-in-Hand with Farmers

These projects wouldn’t exist without strong collaboration with local farmers. By providing them with an outlet for waste materials and returning nutrient-rich biochar to their fields, we create a win-win cycle: healthier soils, reduced waste burning, and a tangible climate benefit that can be measured and verified.

Overcoming the Feedstock Challenge

One of the biggest hurdles in biochar production is managing feedstock — collecting, transporting, and processing raw materials efficiently. Our teams in Milas and Söke have worked to optimize this process, ensuring a steady supply of biomass to keep production consistent and climate benefits flowing year-round.

Your Role in the Transformation

A direct investment of €68,500 in one Climate Impact Unit powers the creation of facilities like these. This isn’t just an investment in infrastructure — it’s an investment in measurable, verifiable climate action. Investors receive €1,400 per month for 48 months, after which the principal is returned, and an ongoing 8% share of profits continues indefinitely.

Verified and Transparent

All our carbon credits are certified by Carbon Standards International (CSI) and publicly registered. This means every tonne of CO₂ removed can be traced and verified, giving you full transparency and confidence in the impact you’re making.

Watch the Process in Action

See for yourself how we’re making it happen in Turkey — from the moment feedstock arrives to the final bag of biochar. Our short video takes you behind the scenes of these new Artisan Pro locations and shows exactly how your investment drives climate-positive change.
